Sir,

We were delighted to come across the article titled “Gallbladder duplication with choledochal cyst: A rare entity” authored by Rahul Deo Sharma et al.[1] The authors present an interesting case of a 4-year-old boy diagnosed with Type II choledochal cyst accompanied by double gallbladder. The coexistence of these anomalies is undeniably a rare occurrence, and we recognize the significance of early preoperative diagnosis in preventing potential complications.

We concur with the authors on all the aspects discussed in the article; however, we would like to highlight that we have also encountered a similar case in the pediatric age group. Our experience involved a 6-year-old boy presenting with a double gallbladder alongside type I choledochal cyst [Figure 1]. Our patient was managed by excision of the choledochal cyst with gallbladders, followed by a Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy.[2]

We believe that this additional information could be valuable to the readers and contribute to the understanding of this rare entity. We commend the authors for shedding light on such an unusual medical occurrence and hope that our shared experience will further enrich the medical community's knowledge.

Thank you for considering our input.
